Overview

Sandtex Ready Mixed Masonry Filler is easy to use and is ideal for repairing outside surfaces, such as brick, render and stone, prior to being decorated and is ideal for overcoating with Sandtex 10 Year Primer Undercoat

Preparation

Before application, the surface needs to be clean and smooth. Remove any old peeling paint, ensuring that the surface is smooth. If any cleaning products are used, then ensure that the project area is thoroughly dry before application.

If the area has any mould, then Sandtex Fungicidal Wash can remove the mould and reduce the amount of staining residue left behind
Also ensure you have the right tools for the project, such as Mako Filler Knife, cleaners and sanding tools available in our tools and accessories section

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to check suitability and compatibility

Apply directly from the tub
Sandtex Ready Mixed Masonry Filler can be applied by using either a spreader or knife
Allow a minimum of 16 hours for the mixture to dry thoroughly before applying a covering
Clean tools afterwards with warm soapy water

Can you put Sandtex Filler on breeze blocks to cover the holes?

Sandtex recommend that the Masonry Filler will fill deeper cavities, you can apply in layers of approximately 9mm. We would recommend doing a test area.

What colour does Sandtex Masnry Filler dry too? I need to match to sandy coloured mortar

This product dried to a white coloured finish.

Is this product use for exterior masonry repairs? There is a small chunk that I need to patch (50mm depth) would this be suitable?

Sandtex Masonry Filler is ideal for this type of project. We would advise filling it in layers of no more than 9mm at a time.

Is Sandtex Masonry Filler suitable for a hairline crack in garage render?
