Returns

We’ve made returning items really easy for you. If you're not 100% happy with your product, simply return it to us within 30 days.

In order to provide an easy to use and efficient returns service we are providing you with a link to DPD Local’s Pickup Returns Portal. If your returned items are lost or damaged whilst being returned to us, please do not contact DPD Local as your contract for the return is with us and not DPD Local.

  • Please ensure that each parcel weighs no more than 20 Kg
  • Fill in our returns form
  • Print the returns label.
  • Package your goods securely, wherever possible using the original packaging. To ensure the return is processed as quickly as possible, please ensure that your original order number is visible on the box.
  • Return it to a local drop off store.
  • Once received, providing they are unopened, unused and in perfect condition, we'll refund your goods, less the returns courier charge of £6.99 per parcel returned.
  • We’ll even reimburse your outbound economy delivery charge (if it was charged originally).

Hassle-Free Tips

  • Only use original packaging if it continues to offer adequate protection.
  • Goods should be unused, unopened and without damage.
  • Ensure adequate packaging and void fill to protect against damage.
  • Refunds will be issued back to your original payment method.
  • Refunds are processed less return courier charge (as stated above).
  • Only Outward economy delivery charge reimbursed (if charged).

Unwanted Items

You may return any unwanted items to us up to 30 days after the day you receive it for a full refund (see our Refunds policy), provided they are unopened, unused, in perfect condition when received and have at least 3 months left on expiry. We do not accept returns for colour mixed and bespoke products.

Many of our products are available in sample sizes to allow you to try test areas first. We do our best to have swatches that show a good colour indication however the wood you are applying to and/or your monitor/screen settings can mean there will be some variation.

Duplicate or Incorrect Items

If we have sent you duplicate or incorrect items, we can arrange to collect or you can use our returns portal without charge, once we receive confirmation of the returned items, we can resend the correct ones at no cost to you. Please contact us by phone to arrange.

Items Damaged in Transit

Faulty Items

Faulty products can be returned to us within 30 days of receiving the goods for a full refund (see Refunds) or an exchange. If a product becomes faulty after 30 days you may wish to contact the manufacturer directly as they may be able to offer support and troubleshooting with the issue you have with the item. We test every single return. If a returned product is found not to be faulty by our test centre we will return the item to you and you will be liable for the postage. We will not refund any postage for items found to be non-defective.

Packaging

Wood Finishes Direct do not pay for any packaging for returning items.
