Overview

Sandtex One Coat Exterior Gloss Paint is an exterior one coat gloss that offers a quick, simple and fast solution to painting wood and metal that is outdoors. Giving protection from the elements throughout the year, it safegurads metal and wood against rust and rot.

Preparation

Before application, the surface needs to be clean and smooth. Remove any old peeling paint or rust, ensuring that the surface is smooth. If any cleaning products are used, then ensure that the project area is thoroughly dry before application.

If the area needs repairing then fill any cracks or gaps with a suitable product for the project. Also, if the area has any mould, then Sandtex Fungicidal Wash can remove the mould and reduce the amount of staining residue left behind
Consider using a primer to help the paint adhere to the surface, with Sandtex 10 Year Primer Undercoat being an excellent choice
Also ensure you have the right tools for the project, such as ProDec Premier Synthetic Brush, cleaners and sanding tools available in our tools and accessories section

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to check suitability and compatibility.

Ensure that the paint is well mixed beforehand by stirring the paint and always follow the manufacturer's instructions
