Morrells Probond Polyurethane Glue is an industrial strength adhesive with foaming properties that is perfect for filling gaps and joints in furniture and flooring. Its superior strength means it can bond metal to wood if required.

Preparation

Ensure that wood to be glued is sound, clean, dry and free of any dust, dirt or other surface contaminants.

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess performance and end result. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the container at all times.

About 30ml of this glue is required for each square meter of wood to be bonded (it expands to about 3 times its size)
Simply apply straight to the wood or other substrate directly from the container
Once applied, Morrells Probond Polyurethane Glue takes around 5 - 10 minutes for an initial tack time
A firm bond is usually achieved in around 4 hours, with a fully hardened bond within 24 hours
Once dry, the glue hardens enabling any excess to be easily removed with a scraper or peeled off by hand

Did a good job of with my squeaky stair treads

Alough not as hard as i would have liked the work held together

Although the glue expanded OK there were some air holes in it and it did not seem to set as hard as I would have liked in the cracks of the joint, but having said that the work held together all right.

First class adhesive

An easy to use adhesive which has a good assembly time, foaming starts around a minute after coating the surfaces but there is ample time to shuffle parts around while clamping up, the joints being firm within about 6 hours or so

Superb strength

Really strong bond wood to wood, wood to stone. wood to metal. Tip, experiment with it first as the expanding properties in this glue need a bit of practice to ensure you do not use too much. You must wear some for of hand protection otherwise it will stain them dark brown and it seriously takes forever to get off. Nail varnish remover, abrasive cream rubs all offer no real solution to removing this. A great glue.

Brilliant

As long as items were clamped while the glue went off, it worked brilliantly. I glued steel sections to OSB board with a bond so strong the steel had to be bent to remove it!
