ELLE Decoration Paint

ELLE Decoration Paint is a modern and feminine paint collection by Crown, offering a range of shades in six vivid and refined colour palettes:

• Feather - Delicate, light shades add warmth and create a timeless classic look
• Powder - A combination of soft, warm shades for that natural, beautiful finish
• Crafted - Luxurious and sumptuous colours inspired by textures and fabrics
• Botanical - A diverse mix of colours from rich earthy tones to deep forest greens
• Drift - Calming blue hues from the depth of the ocean, rising up to the skies above
• Obsidian - Add a touch of drama with monochromatic shades, ranging from warm to cool

Ideal for interior walls, ceilings, doors, skirting-boards, window frames, architraves and more.

Ensure that all surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from all surface contaminants such as grease, grime, dust, dirt and other loose material including sanding dust.

• If necessary, move or cover furniture and other surfaces not to be painted
• Fill any gaps or minor imperfections in the wood with a suitable wood filler
• Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly abraded to provide a sound key before painting
• If staining from previous coatings start to show through, a suitable stain block primer should be used
• Take care to remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuum cleaner or slightly damp, lint-free cloth

New surfaces

• Dense, powdery or polished plaster surfaces must be primed with an appropriate primer prior to painting. Allow the primer to dry fully before over-painting
• For porous surfaces, thin the first coat of ELLE Decoration Paint with up to 40% water

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Keep room well ventilated during application and drying. Do not apply in damp or humid conditions or in rooms with a temperature less than 10°C.

Stir the contents of the tin thoroughly before and periodically during use to ensure an even and consistent finish.

1. Apply ELLE Decoration paint with a good quality synthetic paint brush or microfiber roller
2. Load brushes generously and apply evenly, in the direction of the wood grain, taking care not to overspread
3. In warm conditions, paint can dry very rapidly, so over-brushing should be avoided to prevent brush marks appearing in the finish
4. For best results, apply 2 even coats, allowing 4 hours between coats

Regular Cleaning

For regular cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.

Maintenance

If the finish starts to look worn and tired over time, simply apply a fresh coat of ELLE Decoration Paint, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
