Crown Walls and Ceilings Matt Emulsion Paint

Crown Walls and Ceilings Matt Emulsion is a water-resistant paint that is perfect for interior walls and ceilings, offering a wide range of 80 colours in a durable, modern matt finish. With being Vegan Verified ensures the paint is free from any animal products and with containing only a trace level of VOC guarantees a healthy and non toxic atmosphere. Also, the packaging is all 100% recycled plastic, helping to minimise any impact on the environment.

Wanting a light reflecting, silk sheen finish? Use Crown Walls and Ceilings Silk Emulsion Paint

This product is a rebranding of the Crown Breatheasy range, however the formula remains unchanged. Except for the colour Pure Brilliant White which retains its former branding.

For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

1. Remove all loose and defective paint with a paint scraper, by sanding, or with a paint stripper
2. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
3. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues
4. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
5. Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate filler
6. If required, rub down surfaces and then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust
7. Seal all surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Use only in well ventilated areas. For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient paint for each project including enough for touch-in at a later time.

1. Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply 2 coats of Crown Breatheasy Paint using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
3. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats
4. For significant colour change, further coats may be required

To maintain the finish, apply a fresh coat of Crown Walls and Ceilings Matt , following the Preparation and Application instructions above as and when required.

We recommend Crown Easyclean Kitchen Matt Emulsion as this is better suited to a kitchen environment. It has better resistance to grease aswell as coping well in high humidity environments.

In high humidity areas we would recommend using Crown Easyclean Bathroom Emulsion. This has much better resistance against mould growth and allows water beads to travel from it.
