Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt

Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt is a water-based interior emulsion paint, perfect for hallways, living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Water-based liquid spills bead on the surface due to the stain repellent technology, ensuring an easy to clean surface. It offers an extremely tough, durable and long lasting matt finish that is washable, making it ideal for busy households. Available in a wide range of attractive Dulux paint colours.

For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

1. Remove all loose and defective paint with a paint scraper, by sanding, or with a paint stripper
2. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
3. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues
4. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
5. Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate filler
6. If required, rub down surfaces and then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust
7. Seal all surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Use only in well ventilated areas.

For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient paint for each project including enough for touch-in at a later time.

1. Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
3. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats
4. For significant colour change, further coats may be required

To maintain the finish, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Easycare Washable and Tough Matt paint, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood would give you a better level of scuff and scrape or abrasion resistance for this type of project. The Easycare range is designed for walls and ceilings only.

New plaster can either be painted using Dulux Trade Supermatt followed by 2 coats of Dulux Easycare. Alternatively, a thinned coat of Dulux Easycare can go direct onto new plaster followed by 2 full coats of the Easycare.
