Cuprinol One Coat Sprayable Fence Treatment

Cuprinol One Coat Sprayable Fence Treatment is formulated to quickly and easily colour and protect sheds, fences and other rough sawn garden wood in just one coat.

Ensure that all wooden surfaces to be treated with Cuprinol One Coat are clean, dry and free from surface dirt, debris and other surface contaminates.

Bare or New Timber

1. Traces of mould, algae or fungi must be removed with a stiff brush or broom then treated with a suitable garden cleaner
2. Any holes, gaps or splits in the surface of the wood can be filled with Cuprinol All Purpose Wood Filler or Cuprinol Ultra Tough Wood Filler

Previously Coated Timber

1. Existing surface coatings, such as paint and varnish, must be removed fully by sanding or stripping back to bare wood with a suitable wood stripper
2. Previously oiled wood should be tested as it may repel any future treatment if oiled in recent years

Always do a small test area before beginning any project to assess the appearance and suitability of the finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Cuprinol Sprayable Fence Treatment should only be used on rough sawn timber. If using more than one pack it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish painting in a corner before starting a new container. The final colour will depend upon wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied.

Though it has been designed for spraying, this product can be brush applied with a suitable brush if desired. Shake the container thoroughly before use to ensure a consistent finish.

1. Apply the fence treatment using the Cuprinol Spray and Brush or other compatible garden pump sprayer
2. Spray with the nozzle 15-30cm (6"-12") from the wood surface
3. Spray at a consistent rate to maintain colour depth
4. Where a strong colour change is involved, more coats may be required

Maintenance

Cuprinol One Coat Sprayable Fence Treatment can be easily maintained as and when required by simply applying a fresh coat, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

This would depend on how well prepped the surface is and how much weathering the area has had. We would recommend giving it a maintenance coat every 1-2 years. It could last longer in less exposed areas.

It would depend on whether the surface is weathered. This could take multiple coats but the thicker the surface build up, the greater the risk of flaking. Give the area a sand back and clean to ensure best chance of adhesion

This is a highly pigmented stain which is water-based. It does have more of a solid colour when 2-3 coats are applied.
