To achieve the best results, clear the surface of debris such as flaking paint, seal holes and cracks and ensure the surface is dry.

• Remove all loose and defective paint with either using a scraper or paint stripper
• Special precaution needs to be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful levels of lead
• Sand down any previous paint residue or rough areas to ensure a smooth surface
• Fill cracks and imperfections with a suitable filler
• If a cleaning product has been used the ensure the area is dry and free of any residues
• When applying to new plaster then prime the area with a coat of thinned emulsion diluted with 40% water to seal the new surface. It is possible 2 coats might be required, though this is dependant on how porous the new plaster is
• If painting onto a wooden surface then use a primer before applying Crown Crafted Lustrous Metallic Emulsion

Always start with a test area before application to judge suitability and preference. To achieve ideal results it is recommended to follow the manufacturers instructions.

Use only in well ventilated areas.

• For optimum results, stir thoroughly before applying the paint, ensuring the metallic pigment is thoroughly mixed and blended.
• Do not apply in room temperatures below 10°C and avoid humid conditions
• Can be applied with either a brush or a medium pile roller
• To ensure good coverage apply with even strokes to produce an even distribution of the paint
• 2 coats are recommended, however some colours may require additional coats for an opaque coverage
• Allow a minimum of 4 hours drying time between recoating

Regular Cleaning

• For standard cleaning, wipe with a slightly damp, lint free cloth

Maintenance

• If looking faded after a period of time, then simply reapply another coat following the instructions above
