Blanchon Renovation Lacquer provides a long-term renovation solution for worn and tarnished coatings, such as wood lacquers and oils. Can also be used to restore the appearance of pre-varnished, pre-oiled and laminate flooring without the need for sanding back to bare wood. It's unique formula is tough, durable and resistance to liquid and chemical spillages.
It is recommended to dry sweep or vacuum wooden floors to remove surface dust, dirt and grit before applying this product. Moisture content of the wood should be less than 11°C
An adhesion test is recommended before applying this product, to assess compatibility with the previous coating.
Please note: the lacquer and hardener must be used together and not combined with other products. Never apply the lacquer without its hardener. This laquer does not require dilution.
Always do a test area before starting any project to test product suitability and finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin or container at all times.
Only use in well ventilated areas. Keep any aquariums and plants away from the environment where the product is being applied.
Cleaning Tools
Clean tools immediately after use with water. Do not reuse containers. Remove as much of the product as possible from tools and wring out cloths after application. Do not discharge unused product into drains or watercourses.
Blanchon Renovation Lacquer makes it easy to maintain most floors. Allow 10 days to pass before commencing any cleaning or maintenance to give the product time to cure and harden.
For routine maintenance, remove surface dust and dirt with a broom or vacuum cleaner. Then mop floors using Blanchon Lagoon Cleaner.
If you want to effectively protect acrylic paint, then you must apply 3 coats of renovation lacquer. But in theory a sealer, 2 coats of acrylic paint overcoated with 3 coats of renovation lacquer would mean there would be too much product on the floor, risking peeling over time and use, so we would advise against it.
