Sandtex Trade 365 All Weather Masonry Paint

A solvent-based, premium quality, smooth matt protective and decorative finish. Formulated with high performance Pliolite resins for application Sandtex 365 All Weather Masonry Paint provides up to 20 years protection and has the unique ability to dry in adverse weather conditions and temperatures as low as -10°C. Sandtex 365 is shower resistant after just 20 minutes.

Before application, the project area needs to be sound, suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials applied.

New Surfaces

• Fill cracks and small defects in masonry with Sandtex Ready Mixed Masonry Filler and finish to match existing
• Surfaces with excessive suction, chalky residues, or loose particles should be treated with Sandtex Quick Drying Stabilising Solution

Previously coated, aged, or undercoated surfaces

• Remove all loose, and failing or suspect material by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush (not wire) to a sound edge
• Organic growths need to be treated with Sandtex Fungicidal Wash and removed
• For surfaces in poor condition mechanical means may be necessary e.g. pressure washing between 1500-2000 psi, proprietary paint removal system, wet or dry grit blasting. Care must be taken not to damage the underlying surface
• Fill cracks and small defects in masonry with Sandtex Ready Mixed Masonry Filler
• Stabilise all bare, filled and previously decorated chalking areas with an application of Sandtex Quick Drying Stabilising Solution
• Wash any sound adhering gloss painted surfaces with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants frequently changing the water, wet abrade to provide a key
• Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues, allow to dry

Always do a test area before starting any project to check suitability and compatibility. Do not apply if there is a risk of heavy rain. Do not use on bitumen coatings. The decoration of Fletton brickwork either facings or commons is not recommended.

• Ensure that the paint is well mixed beforehand by stirring the paint and always follow the manufacturer's instructions
• Apply using a good quality synthetic brush, medium or long pile roller depending on surface texture, or by airless spray
• For airless spray use a minimum fluid pressure of 2000psi and a minimum tip size of 0.018 thou. Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is used
• Recoating in 16 hours
• Ensure the previous coat is fully dry before further application
