Ronseal Ultimate Finish Decking Pads are a set of replacement pads for Ronseal Ultimate Finish Decking Pad Kit, designed for the maintenance and coating of both softwood and hardwood decking. The blue pad is ideal for cleaning and maintenance, using Ronseal Decking Cleaner and Reviver. The green coating pad is perfect for the application of all Ronseal decking oils, stains and paints.

Blue Cleaning Pad
- Perfect for the application of Ronseal Decking Cleaner and Reviver
- Pour directly onto the decking and scrub using the ultimate decking pad kit
- Leave to fully dry for 48 before applying a finish
Green Application Pad
- Ideal for the application of any Ronseal decking oils, stains and paints
- Pour the chosen finish into a tray and gently dip the pad in, ensuring not to submerge the pad
- Push down firmly when applying the first coat, this allows the pad to follow the grooves of the decking
- Evenly apply any further coats to achieve nice, streak-free finish

After using the Ronseal Ultimate Finish Decking Pads, clean using warm soapy water. Both pads can be reused.
Please Note: If using to apply Ronseal Decking Oil, it is advised to replace the pad, as warm soapy water won't be able to remove all of the oil, and white spirit may damage the pad.

Rapid application using these pads
Using these decking pads really speeds up the application of decking oil/stain and is less back-breaking than using a brush. On rough decking boards like ours, however, where the ridged side of the boards are on top, the fluffy pile degrades more quickly and the pads need replacing between coats. Our deck was here when we moved in and the boards were installed with the ridged side on top. Apparently, the smooth side should be on top as the grooves are to improve air circulation underneath the deck. Many are installed with the grooves uppermost in the belief that this provides more grip when wet but apparently this is not true - who knew?!

They do the job
Simple to use, and the pads are sold separately. I have washed them a couple of times between applications, and weather breaks.

Time saver
I like these. They make a fairly tedious job a lot quicker. The scrubbing pad works well as does the paint/ stain pad. Saves having sore knees.
