Ronseal Diamond Hard Coloured Floor Varnish is suitable for use over most domestic softwood and hardwood flooring, as well as hardboard, chipboard and wood composite floors.
Please Note: This product is not suitable for use on laminate floors or for commercial environments such as pubs, restaurants and community halls.

Ensure that the floor to be treated with Diamond Hard Varnish is clean, dry and free from wax, polish, dirt and other contaminants.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C. Allow for good ventilation. Stir contents of the tin thoroughly before and during application to ensure a consistent finish.
Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish is touch dry within 30 minutes, with a re-coat time of 2 hours.
For everyday cleaning, floors treated with Ronseal Diamond Hard Coloured Floor Varnish can be vacuumed and dry swept with a broom, to remove any surface dirt or grit which might cause scratches to the finish. If the floor surface is stained or marked, a slightly damp (not wet) microfibre cloth or mop may be used.
For more stubborn marks, an appropriate floor cleaning solution may be applied. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container.
To maintain the finish, apply a fresh coat of Diamond Hard Varnish following the Preparation and Application instructions, as and when required.
To spot repair any scuffs or marks to the finish, simply clean the affected area and apply a fresh layer of varnish to the damaged area(s).
Yes this is a one part polyurethane acrylate varnish which is water-based.
The downside to using a coloured varnish is that once scratched or scuffed you lose colour and it makes it more obvious. Using a coat of clear over the top will protect the colour for longer. Take a look at Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish as a suitable topcoat.
