Overview
Repair Care BIO FLEX COOL is a professional grade repair resin for permanent repairs on all interior and exterior wood surfaces, such as windows, doors, stairs and furniture. For repairs with a thickness level of 5-50mm. Once set, it has excellent mechanical features, acting just like wood. It can be sanded and finished to match the surrounding area. Easy to use, with a smooth structure to model.
Please note: Repair Care Bio Flex Cool is designed for use during winter months only and will be available to purchase between the months of October - March. For an alternative Bio Flex product, please use Repair Care BIO FLEX ALLROUND.
Preparation
Ensure that areas to be filled are clean, dry and free from surface dust and debris.
- Check the moisture content of the surface to be treated, using Repair Care EASY.Q Wood Condition Meter - no higher than 18%
- Removing any damaged and rotten wood from the area using a Repair Care Mini-Profi Router fitted with a Repair Care Premium Round Cutter or a Repair Care Economy Round Cutter
- To ensure maximum adhesion between the substrate and Repair Care BIO FLEX COOL, treat the prepared area using Repair Care DRY FIX UNI®.
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times. Ensure good ventilation when using this product.
Optimum application is achieved between 0°C and 20°C (5 - 25mm at 10 - 20°C) with good air movement and ventilation.
- Insert both components into either the Repair Care EASY.Q High Performance Dosing Gun, ensuring tab is in the forward position
- Dispense both tubes onto a Repair Care EASY.Q Mixing Plate and mix using a Repair Care EASY.Q Steel Application Knife, until it reaches a bright green colour
- Spread the mixture thinly across the mixing plate, as this will extend the application period
- Apply the coating to the prepared area, using the metal knife
- To effectively model corners and large areas, use Repair Care Perspex Sheets
- Immediately remove any excess product
- Allow 15 hours to fully cure

Finishing
Once cured, the area can be sanded and finished with the chosen paint or stain to match the surrounding area.
