Osmo Maintenance Oil

I sanded a small kitchen area down then applied this product with a great result!!

We had solid oak floorboards we discovered underneath our carpet. They were very dry and greying, so when I worked out they had an oil finish, I ordered this to reinvigorate them. Goes on really easily, soaks in and then doesn't leave a residue on top. Darkened the wood and brought out the grain.

Spreads well ,dries relatively quickly to a smooth even finish.

Used on an old wooden staircase after a thorough clean and before replacing the stair runner. Wood looked more nourished and less dried out and had a slightly deeper colour with a matte finish. Very pleased with the product and result.

I applied this on my hands and knees with a lint free cloth, there are easier ways to do it I’m sure, but the result is excellent. I will definitely use this product again as and when it is needed.

I used this product on three different floors. Two of those were just in need of freshening up, with some areas needing some extra oil. Here the result was the best. I also used it on some fairly scratched and scuffed pine varnished pine floor boards. Although this oil is not really meant for this kind of surfaces, the floor looked a lot better after two generous coats. Just remember that a more generous coat needs longer to dry! I think the info about the area which can be covered is about right, it really depends on the condition of the floor. I covered all the floors with two coats, and still managed to do quite a large area with a relatively small amount of oil. We saved several thousands of pounds using this product instead of sanding the floors down, which is a destructive process, and re-sealing them. We have no experience yet how long this treatment will stand up to our intensive wear. But as we have used other Osmo products successfully in the past, we have trust that the exercise will have been worth while.
