Osmo Maintenance Oil is suitable for solid wood, plankwood, parquet, ships flooring, OSB and cork flooring, as well as for stairs and oiled interior furniture. It is ideal for restaurants, museums and other commercial or high use community areas, and is also suitable for changing the gloss level of intact surfaces treated with Osmo Polyx Oil.
Please Note: This product is only suitable for floors that have been previously oiled. It should not be used as a standalone treatment on bare or unfinished wood.
The Semi-Matt version is R9-rated for increased slip-resistance, and is especially recommended for stairs and flooring.
Floors to be oiled must be clean and free from surface dirt and debris. It is recommended that floors are vacuumed or cleaned with a damp lint-free cloth or mop prior to oiling.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Allow for good ventilation during application and drying. Shake well before use to ensure a consistent finish.
Floors that have been treated with Osmo Maintenance Oil can be buffed to lift the sheen level. For additional shine and depth, a suitable wood wax or wood polish can be applied.
Light marks and dirt can be removed by cleaning the affected surface with a mixture of water and Osmo Wash And Care.
For light scratches, use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner, if marks go deeper into the wood then a light sand is required before applying further maintenance oil to the affected area. For occasional renovation, re-apply a thin coat of Osmo Maintenance Oil to clean, dry wood flooring and furniture surfaces.
