Morrells Induro Natro Floor Varnish

Morrells Induro Natro Floor Varnish a water-based, polyurethane floor varnish that provides a natural / unfinished appearance. Extremely strong yet flexible offering outstanding chemical and mechanical resistance. Ideal for use on hardwood and softwood flooring in areas of medium to high traffic.

Ensure that floors to be varnished are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.

1. All previous finishes must be completely removed back to bare wood by stripping or sanding the wood
2. Fill any gaps or splits in the wood surface with Morrells Two-Part Coloured Wood Fillers or other suitable wood filler
3. New wood can be cleaned and degreased with methylated spirit if required
4. Freshly sanded floors should be swept and vacuumed to remove all traces of sanding dust, dirt and debris
5. The application of Morrells Induro General Purpose Sealer prior to varnishing is recommended for better adhesion to the substrate but also can be used coat-on-coat

Please note: the use of Morrells Induro Isolating Sealer is not recommended if you want to retain the natural, untreated look of the wood.

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

1. Apply using short pile roller, T-bar applicator or mohair flooring pad
2. Apply 1-2 coats of varnish after priming with General Purpose Sealer leaving 2-3 hours drying time between coats, lightly sanding or de-nibbing between coats

Application brushes and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with warm, soapy water and wiped dry.

Once final coat has dried, light traffic can be resumed after 24 hours. Do not place furniture or move furniture across the floor surface for at least 3 days after application. Avoid mats, rugs or floor coverings for the first 5 days as this will impede final cure and general performance of the product.

Morrells Induro Natro Floor Varnish will typically require 7 days to reach full hardness, so wet cleaning and vacuuming should be avoided until after this period.

The use of good quality entrance mats and furniture pads are recommended to avoid damage to the finish. Surfaces should be swept or vacuumed regularly to avoid the build up of dust or grit as this becomes abrasive and will degrade this finish. A soft cloth or mop lightly dampened with a dedicated wood floor cleaner and water is recommended as and when required.
