Liberon Anti-Slip Coating gives a non-slip surface to highly smooth and polished interior and exterior flooring, even when wet. It is suitable for use on cement, concrete, stone, paving, ceramic tiles and wood, or in areas of high humidity such as patios, decking, utility rooms and swimming pools.
The surface to be coated must be clean, dry and free from traces of dirt, dust, grease, wax or oil.
Please Note: For new hardwoods, it is recommended to leave the wood exposed for up to 12 months before applying any finish. This allows the grain in the wood to open and breath and aids penetration and adhesion of the finish.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Ideal conditions for application are between 10°C and 25°C when dry.
Liberon recommend applying a fresh coat of Liberon Anti-Slip Coating once yearly as part of a routine maintenance schedule.
On high traffic areas, re-apply 1 coat as and when required, following the 'preparation' and 'application' instructions above.
In short, no. The decking oil will repel the water-based anti-slip coating meaning that it will flake and peel off. This product will only work if the decking is stripped back to bare wood with all traces of oil being removed. For previously oiled decking, we recommend applying a coat of anti-slip decking oil.
Unfortaunetly, this is not designed to go on laminate flooring.
We would not suggest this product on this type of surface as it will not be porous enough to allow the coating to take form. Give our Woodcare Experts a call on 01303 213838 with details of your project for bespoke advice.
