Always produce a test area prior to the full application to judge suitability and the final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions at all times.
Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue has a variety of applications, which are:
- Primer
- Bonding Agent
- Floor Toppings
- Cement Patching
- Plastering
- Sealer
- Adhesive
Primer:
- If being applied to Porous Surfaces, such as sand, cement, etc, then dilute 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 5 parts water and allowed to dry
- If being applied to Highly Porous Surfaces such as dry, old stock brick, then dilute 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 3 parts water and allowed to dry
- If being applied to a Damp or Exterior Surfaces then do not dilute Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue
- If being applied to Non-Porous Interior Surfaces, such as glazed tiles, engineering brick or sound oil painted surfaces, then do not dilute Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue
Bonding Agent:
For rendering onto pre-cast concrete, brick and other substrates of a high porous nature
- Prime with no dilution and allow to dry
- For the bonding coat, dilute 3 parts Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 1 part of water
- Allow the film to become tacky
- Apply render in coats that are thinner than 10mm and to a maximum overall thickness of 16mm
Non-Porous Interior Surface:
- Apply Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue as a bonding coat and apply whilst the plaster is still wet or tacky
Damp or Exterior Surfaces:
- Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue is to be applied undiluted
High Tensile Renders:
- To improve resistance to structural movement, add gauging water to 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 10 parts water
Floor Toppings
Sand/Cement Screeds, proprietary composition flooring, Terrazzo, Granolithic and other rich mixtures
- Prime and allow to dry as specified
- Apply Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue undiluted
- Allow tack to develop
- Apply screed in the normal way
Continuous Sand/Cement Screeds/Polymer Modified Screeds
- Prime and allow to dry as specified
- Apply undiluted Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue
- Allow tack to develop and then apply screed with 1:3 cement/sand mix with Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue and water. The proportion of Evo -Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue requires 5 litres to every 25kg of cement
- Dilute Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue with gauging water and gauge to a soft crumble. Keep the mix as dry as possible as excessive water can cause cracking
- The screed should not exceed 12.5mm, but can be taken to a thin edge, depending on the sand grading, allow to cure for a minimum of 72 hours
Cement Patching
- Prime and allow to dry as required
- Apply Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue undiluted and allow tack to develop
- Patch with a rich cement/sand mix gauged with diluted 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 8 parts water. Then cover and allow to cure for a minimum of 72 hours
Plastering
To bond New Plaster to porous surfaces
- Prime the surface with 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 5 parts water. Once dry, coat the surface with a mixture of 3 parts Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 1 part water and whilst still wet or tacky apply the plaster
To bond New Plaster to non-porous surfaces
- Apply an undiluted coat of EvoStik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue and whilst till wet, apply the plaster
Sealer
Cement Based Paints
- Dilute Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue with an equal amount of water
- Brush into the surface, ensuring no excessive remains to form a film
- NOT suitable for other types of paint, such as gloss or emulsion
Dust Sealer, such as concrete, composite and terrazzo flooring
- Dilute 1 part Evo-Stik Evo Bond GP PVA Glue to 5 parts water
- Apply 1-2 coats to the floor
Adhesive
- Apply to each surface and then press firmly together
- For a close fitting fitting joint, only coat 1 surface and press together
