Dulux Trade Floorshield

Dulux Trade Floorshield is suitable for all interior wood flooring, as well as concrete and steel. Its hard wearing mid sheen finish offers excellent erosion resistance making it suitable for light to medium foot traffic, ensuring a lasting, high quality look.

Please Note: This product is not suitable for areas of heavy industrial use.

For the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.

• Remove all loose and defective paint with a scraper, sandpaper or by using a paint stripper
• Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead
• Treat knots with a suitable knotting solution
• Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate wood filler
• Apply one thinned coat of Floorshield to new or bare porous surfaces and allow to dry fully
• All new or bare metal should be primed using an appropriate metal primer

Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient paint for each project including enough for touch-in at a later time.

Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C. For Health & Safety reasons relating to all solvent-based paints, spray application is not recommended.

1. Stir the paint thoroughly before use
2. Apply 2 coats using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
3. Seal new or bare surfaces with a thinned first coat of Floorshield (up to 1 part white spirit to 10 parts paint)
4. Allow to dry fully for 16 to 24 hours between coats and for a minimum of 24 hours after the final coat

To maintain the finish, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Trade Floorshield as required, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
