Cuprinol Decking Cleaner

I used to clean decking prior to applying decking oil and it removed grime and algae, although had to apply 2 coats to fully remove the algae. Apart from that satisfied with product.

Fairly light cleaning product, cleans up teak nicely but not so good for stripping heaiver dirt without pressure washer.

Easy to use, and it helped prepare my deck ready for a fresh coat of oil.

I was not expecting too much, but this really did help clean very soiled decking. Scraped & scrubbed surface deposits from the boards first and then scrubbed again with this cleaner diluted with about 40% water. Still took some elbow grease, but almost all the old black stains were removed. It doesn't go as far as I hoped, however, and I had to buy more.

Its OK however elbow grease worked as well

Used this product ahead of applying Cuprinol anti slip decking paint. Scrubbed using patio wire bristle cleaning broom to remove worn in lichen and moss. Cleaned up old deck a treat before application of Curinol Anti slip deck paint.

Used this to prepare decking before i stained it, in fairness the decking needs replacing and was covered in green moss and felt slippery underfoot. I sprayed half of this product on the decking with a watering can then the rest I mixed in a bucket and applied before using a decking brush, rinsed then used the brush again and a final rinse and wow. If we had used a pressure washer it would have damaged the wood im sure but this stuff cleaned it really well. Needs to be seen to be believed how good it was hence im bothering to take the time to write this!

Does what it says. Time will tell.

This did a great job on my decking that came with a house I had bought

At first I didn't think it was working, but as son as the decking was dry it looked completely transformed! Just like new again. I would definitely use it again.

I recently used it on a decking refurbishment for a prep clean. Whilst I believed to have followed all safety precautions, I experienced first hand, or shall I say "first leg", just how powerful the ammonium based detergent is: During prep work using a diluted portion, all was fine. After the deck clean I thoroughly rinsed the deck off, let it dry and continued with sanding off the next day. As it was the hot September weather, I worked in shorts for the sanding. One time my unprotected knee got in touch with the dried timber deck surface. Later I found that this short encounter caused a painful skin irritation for days! I am giving it four stars, as it was not entirely clear that even in the dried state the tiny amount of skin moisture sufficed to reactivate a diluted residue film to have this impact on my skin... Otherwise I can't fault it.

Lots of scrubbing needed with this product. Additional algae remover needed if your decking has green patches.

My deck gets wet and not a lot of sun so getting it clean is critical

Worked really well on heavily soiled area it needed a couple of treatments but very pleased with the result.
