Overview
Ciranova Worktop Oil is made from natual waxes, modified oils, and vegetable and renewable fatty acids. It provides the perfect finish for wooden woktops, cutting boards, furniture and tables on which food is prepared. The worktop oil provides a natural, water-repellent protection.
Preparation
Ensure that all old finishing layers have been completely removed and that the surface is free of dust and other contaminants.
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to test product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- Shake the worktop oil well before use
- Apply an even film of Worktop Oil to the surface with lint-free cotton cloth in the direction of the grain
- For larger surfaces, you can use a brush
- Apply a thin layer and let the oil soak into the wood for 15 minutes
- Wipe the surface dry with a lint-free cloth
Please Note: For hard woods such as oak, at least two coats are required. Multiple coats can be used for soft woods.
Dry Time
- Recoatable: 6 hours
- Fully cured: 7 days
Aftercare
Apply a new coat of Worktop Oil regularly to ensure permanent water-repellent protection. in the event of heavy soiling, use the Ciranova Intensive Cleaner to clean the wood first. The worktop oil is only fully cured after 7 days. Do not treat with water or maintenance products.
