Overview
Ciranova Fortico 1C is a PU water-based lacquer for parquet floors subject to normal traffic. Fortico 1C provides the wood with excellent chemical and mechanical resistance, can be easily applied without overlapping or roller imprints. Fortico 1C has been developed for finishing parquet and wooden floors in homes and other places subject to normal wear. Fortico 1C can be used as a primer and finishing coat.
Preparation
Ensure that surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.
- Make sure that all old finish coats are completely removed and the wood is free from dust and other dirt
- Sanding using the correct method, deep sanding with 60-80-100 grit then sanding with 100 grit
- Can be used on sanded, planed and brushed wood
- For a lighter and more natural finish, Ciranova Woodlook Plus can be used as a primer first
- For floor heating, exotic wood types and cork, the Ciranova Fortico Sealer is recommended as a primer
Application
Ciranova Fortico 1C can be used both as a primer and as a finishing coat. It can be applied in three coats.
- Appy the product using a brush or short-pile roller
- Apply the first coat in the direction of the wood
- After 4 hours apply a second coat in the same way as the first
- Let it dry for 6 hours and afterwards do an intermediate sanding using grit 180 - 220, make dust-free and apply the third coat
Drying Times
- Lightly walkable: after 12 hours
- Fully cured: 8 - 10 days
Finishing
Ciranova Fortico 1C can be used as both a primer and finishing coat.
Aftercare
For regular maintenance it is recommended to use Ciranova Hard Floor Fresh. Use Ciranova Unicare X-Matt for periodic maintenance use. Ciranova Hard Floor Cleaner is used for cleaning highly soiled floors and to remove old layers of polish.
