Overview
Bona Wood Floor Polish restores wood floors previously finished with Bona Floor Varnishes and Bona Floor Paints, giving the surface a new lease of life and extended protection against wear.
The polyurethane formula infills micro-scratches and forms a tough, durable wear layer that revives dull or worn looking floors.
Please Note: Bona Polish is not suitable for floors that have been waxed or oiled.
Preparation
Remove loose dirt and grit from your floor. Clean floor thoroughly with Bona Wood Floor Cleaner and allow to dry.
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times. Shake bottle thoroughly before use and apply at normal room temperature, 18-25°C.
- Pour a wide, wavy line of floor polish onto a small section of the floor
- Spread the product over the section using a Bona Floor Mop or Bona Microfiber Applicator Pad
- Complete section by smoothing with the applicator pad in the direction of the wood grain
- Continue, section by section, until the whole floor has been treated
The floor can receive light foot traffic after 2 hours but avoid heavy foot traffic and replacement of furniture and rugs for at least 12 hours.
Aftercare
Regular Cleaning
Vacuum floors then clean with Bona Wood Floor Cleaner and a Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad or Bona Microfiber Floor Mop.
Alternatively, use Bona Premium Wood Floor Spray Mop, which comes complete with an Bona Wood Floor Cleaner Refill Cartridge, so you can spray and mop with ease. This cleaning solution is also available in a handy spray applicator - see Bona Wood Floor Cleaner Spray.
Maintenance
When the floor starts to show signs of wear, simply clean and apply a fresh layer of Bona Wood Floor Polish.
To remove old layers of polish, use Bona Polish Remover if required.
