Bona SuperSport Primer

Bona SuperSport Primer is a water-based polyurethane primer, ideal for sports halls, dance studios, karate dojos and community halls. A high-build primer great for giving the wood a rich, warm look whilst giving an extra layer for better adhesion for the final finish of Bona SuperSport HD.

Areas to be coated must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, waxes, oils and any other surface contaminants prior to coating with Bona Sportive Primer.

1. For the best results, surfaces to be treated must be sanded back to bare wood
2. Final sanding should be done with a fine sanding disk, screen or good quality sandpaper with a grit of 120
3. Remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuum cleaner prior to priming
4. For filling long, linear gaps use Bona Gap Master
5. For filing holes, splits, dents and other surface imperfections, use Bona Mix and Fill

Always do a test area before starting any project to check suitability and compatibility and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Allow product to reach room temperature. Optimal application conditions are between 18-25°C and 40-60% relative air humidity. High temperatures and low humidity shorten drying time, low temperatures and high humidity lengthen the drying time. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Minimum temperature for use is 13°C.

1. Shake the container thoroughly before use and insert the supplied filter
2. Apply an even coat of floor primer using your choice of applicator below, to ensure a uniform level of timber saturation and avoid timber colour variation
3. Always maintain a "wet edge" to avoid overlaps
4. It is not recommended to apply more than two full coats per day due to increased risk of excessive wood swelling
5. Allow to dry in accordance with "Treatment Schedule" in Technical Information sheet above
6. If Bona SuperSport Primer has been allowed more than 24 hours drying time then an intermediate sanding is always required before applying further coats of varnish
7. Remove any sanding dust before applying a top coat of Bona SuperSport HD

This product should never be used as the final treatment for timber floors. Once dry, apply Bona SuperSport HD.
