Blanchon Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil

Blanchon Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil is specially designed to maintain parquet and all types of wood flooring previously treated with Blanchon Original Wood Environment.

This product should be applied as soon as wood floors treated with Original Wood Environment® start to lose their natural finish through normal wear and tear, minor scratches, etc.

Please Note: The Ultra Matt sheen provides a more natural, much less glossy finish than the Clear version.

Floors to be treated should be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surfaces contaminants.

1. Small stains and marks can be easily removed with Blanchon Natural Soap or Blanchon Lagoon Cleaner, using a well wrung-out, lint-free cloth or mop (never a soaking wet one)
2. This product should not be used on floors that have been oiled in the last 7 to 10 days. Allow 10 days for the original floor oil to fully cure before cleaning with Blanchon Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil
3. Stubborn dirt, stains or scratches in the original finish can be removed by fine sanding, prior to applying the maintenance oil
4. Sweep or vacuum the floor to remove all traces of sanding dust
5. Original Wood Environment should then be re-applied to this area prior to Blanchon Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Do not apply if the temperature is below 12°C and use only in well ventilated areas. Keep any aquariums and plants away from the environment where the product is being applied. This product is ready to use. Do not dilute.

1. Stir thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply a thin coat of Maintenance Oil with a microfibre mop or clean, lint-free cotton cloth
3. Small localised areas can be touched up using a cotton cloth to apply and polish
4. The product spreads immediately and does not have to be worked for a long time
5. The use of a buffing machine is neither necessary nor recommended
6. Floors can receive light traffic after 30 minutes under normal conditions

Cleaning Equipment

Clean applicators immediately after use with water. Wring out cloths and wipe tools thoroughly after application.

After Use

Take reasonable precautions during the first hour following application:

• Protect the floor using felt pads underneath table and chair legs
• A good quality mat placed at the entrance will retain dust and grit
• Wipe down any water or other liquid spillages immediately and take particular care with flower pots
• Do not move heavy furniture around
• Remove dust with a vacuum or broom - do not use impregnated fabrics

Regular Cleaning

Floors can be regularly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and using a dampened, lint-free cloth or microfibre mop with Blanchon Natural Soap or Blanchon Lagoon Cleaner. Do not use household detergents or bleaches as these may degrade the finish.

Maintenance

If floors begin to look worn or tired over time, simply apply a fresh coat of Blanchon Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Repair

Sand the damaged areas using fine-grade sandpaper before applying 1 or 2 thin coats of Original Wood Environment Maintenance Oil with a clean, lint-free cotton cloth.
